Best Morning Show on Radio

I have been listening to 104.5 in Toronto most of my life. It is something I just realized that I have taken for granted. On my way school or work, Chum FM has always been there. I realize that many of you do not live in the Toronto area but because the internet I would like to share the station that has given so much with all of you so it can be enjoyed from your computer, iPhone or iPad from anywhere in the world. I need two things in the morning before I can start my day; my coffee and listening to Roger, Marilyn and Darren. Along with today's popular songs, the three hosts are incredible together. An amazing way to start the day, they make me laugh, (even when I am not in the mood), and share a ton of information that we all can use in our daily lives.

Roger Ashby has been the morning man since 1985, Marilyn Denis joined him a few years later and last but not least Darren B. Lamb joined the morning show in 2008.

I can listen to them for hours. Roger is the thoughtful thinker, has an opinion on everything and is set in his ways. He is filled with a ton of information that he loves to share with his listeners. Marilyn has also developed into a TV star in Canada. She is the host of her own television show, The Marilyn Denis Show which airs 10:00 a.m. on weekdays. At quarter to each hour she shares her Entertainment report which is always filled with interesting, fun celebrity gossip. Even though Darren joined them in 2008, he fit in perfectly. He is hysterical! I find myself laughing out loud all the time when I listen to him. His ability to improvise is nothing less than genius. Roger, Darren and Marilyn work so well together. Always positive and upbeat. I honestly don't know what my mornings would be like without them. They have become a huge part of my life, almost like family.

CHUM FM has been so good to me!

Twenty one years ago, Chum FM was running a weekly contest. When they played the Chum FM jet, you call in and the first five callers qualified for a trip to Paris. I am not sure how but I got through and the following week Roger and Marilyn called me to tell me I won! It is something I will never forget, in fact I found the recording of the phone call just a few months ago. It was an amazing vacation, something I would not have been given the chance to experience if it was not for 104.5 Chum FM!

To this day, there are contests running daily, everything from "Beat the Bank" to "Breakfast in Barbados". Breakfast in Barbados has been running for years, Roger, Marilyn and Darren take plane filled of listeners for a week in Barbados. I have desperately been trying to win that contest but so far no such luck. I am not giving up though. Please note: I am unavailable twenty minutes after each hour from 6:20 a.m. until 10:20 p.m. because I am trying to get through to Chum and be the 25th caller in order to qualify.
